Situation
McGowan Brothers Development Corp. had a vision of restoring five historic buildings in downtown St. Louis and making them the cornerstone of a thriving neighborhood. Public and private financing sources were secured, including the first use of NMTCs in Missouri. We represented the company with the acquisitions and project financing, as well as the capitalization of four new businesses in these buildings.
Result
McGowan’s redevelopment sparked other projects and Washington Avenue was named one of 2011’s “10 Great Streets” by the American Planning Association.
