Situation
H&R Block decided to move its corporate headquarters to downtown Kansas City. The relocation, development and construction project required our assistance with $150 million in financing, the purchase of real estate from the city, and state and local incentives.
Result
The new headquarters was a catalyst for a downtown renaissance. Together, the headquarters, an entertainment district and the $45 million restoration of the historic President Hotel (another development client) have transformed the southern portion of downtown into a vibrant center of economic activity.
