Husch Blackwell and the Sprint Accelerator of Kansas City are pleased to announce an agreement whereby Husch Blackwell will become the exclusive legal sponsor and provide legal services to startup companies that entered the Sprint Accelerator’s 90-day 2017 program. Under the arrangement, Husch Blackwell will provide monthly educational programming and guidance to the Sprint Accelerator companies and maintain regular, bi-weekly office hours at the Accelerator’s offices at 210 West 19th Terrace in Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District.

“We are proud to partner with the Sprint Accelerator in fostering the growth of the startup companies in the 2017 cohort,” said Nathan Oleen, the leader of Husch Blackwell’s Startups practice. “Our firm has a long history of serving entrepreneurs, and we look forward to collaborating with the Accelerator’s companies and helping them bring their innovations to market.”

“Partnering with Husch Blackwell brings extremely valuable resources to the companies in our program,” said Doug Dresslaer, Managing Director of the Sprint Accelerator. “Through the workshops and office hours provided by Husch Blackwell, our companies can address common legal issues that all startups face.”

Husch Blackwell joins a select group of partners working with the Sprint Accelerator, including the program’s namesake sponsor, Sprint Corporation, as well as corporate sponsors Dairy Farmers of America, Pinsight Media and Virgin Mobile.

Startups participating in the Sprint Accelerator program were selected based on the current business needs of the program’s corporate partners. These corporate partners will provide mentorship, connections and resources to accelerate the growth of their selected startups. The program officially began April 3, 2017.
