Husch Blackwell represented Green Plains Inc. in its acquisition of SCI Ingredients Holdings, Inc. and its wholly owned operating subsidiary Fleischmann's Vinegar Company, Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer and marketer of food-grade industrial vinegar, for approximately $250 million. The acquisition was funded through a mix of cash on hand and a $130 million term loan. Green Plains is the second-largest consolidated owner of ethanol production facilities in the world, with 17 dry mill plants and an annual production capacity of nearly 1.5 billion gallons.
