Webinar

Nationwide, there is a pattern of racial and ethnic disparities in student discipline. The Obama administration made enforcement of civil rights laws related to student discipline disparities a priority, but it is still unclear how much attention this issue will get from the current administration. This webinar will attempt to read the tea leaves on that important question.

The session also will review the legal issues involved in such disparities and provide practical guidance for policymakers and administrators. Finally, the presenters will address both legally problematic practices and lawful methods for trying to reduce disparities.
