Overview

Andrea enjoys supporting clients in the life sciences, telecommunications and technology sectors through intellectual property litigation.

A registered patent attorney, Andrea understands that intellectual property litigation can equal high-stakes outcomes. Not only are jobs and business-critical operations involved, but end-user and patient quality of life can also be at issue. Andrea believes IP litigation is part of a bigger picture and she’s passionate about finding solutions for clients in District Court, Federal Circuit, and Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings regarding innovations that include:

  • Medical devices
  • Life sciences
  • Computer software
  • Mechanical inventions

Clients appreciate Andrea’s knowledge of how technology and the law intersect: she studied bioengineering with a concentration in medical device engineering. Andrea also served a year-long internship at a medical device company within the R&D department, manufacturing and marketing department during CE Mark approval, FDA submission and product launch for a new surgical adhesive, with her focus on mechanical and analytical product testing and method development.

Andrea is known for her professional and positive relationships, a team player who stays in close communication with team members and clients. She aims to balance efficient pathways with the many components of any case, including a client’s long-term IP goals.
