With a commitment to active listening, Lars works with clients to prepare estate and business succession plans.
Lars came to the practice of law out of a desire for a career with a positive impact. He’d spent summers as a teen working at his father’s law firm and seen the opportunities the legal field offered to improve clients’ lives.
While Lars enrolled in law school expecting to practice transactional law, he soon found himself drawn to private wealth thanks to a professor’s enthusiasm for the subject. He quickly discovered a passion for working with people to protect their futures.
At Husch Blackwell, Lars works with high-net-worth families to develop and implement tax-sensitive estate plans, wills, trusts and business succession plans, and he guides trustees through trust administration. Lars has also represented executors in probate court. Prior to his exclusive focus on private wealth matters, Lars also handled real estate transactions and assisted clients with the formation of business entities—experience he draws on when he drafts plans for the transfer of real estate assets and considers the future of family businesses.
Lars is a gifted critical thinker with a talent for synthesizing information and breaking it down into its key components. He’s well suited to grasp clients’ needs and motivations and turn those into a cohesive and advantageous plan, and he understands that his most important role is that of a listener: Lars comes to client meetings prepared to listen actively and thoroughly, only beginning to make plans after he has a solid knowledge of a client’s goals.
