Situation
A college embarked on building a new downtown campus. During construction, it was presented with an unanticipated opportunity to acquire an adjacent corporate facility. The board’s decision to acquire and repurpose the facility considerably decreased the overall cost of the new campus, and required an almost unheard of de-scoping of the project.
Result
Our attorneys successfully represented the college in resolving numerous complex and substantial disputes with the general contractor and subcontractors over the deductive change orders and termination-for-convenience notices issued in the re-scoping of the downtown campus.
