Situation
Our representation of MountainStar Sports Group in its acquisition of the Tucson Padres, the minor league baseball affiliate of the San Diego Padres, included the negotiation of a complex public-private partnership development agreement for construction of a $60 million ballpark and long-term lease with the city of El Paso, Texas.
Result
The new ballpark, now home to the renamed El Paso Chihuahuas, is part of an ongoing effort to revitalize downtown El Paso and spur commercial and residential redevelopment activity.
