Situation
Goodyear Tire filed suit and request for temporary and permanent injunction against Continental in Goodyear’s home town (Cleveland, Ohio), alleging that Continental misappropriated Goodyear’s trade secrets and tortiously interfered with its business by hiring a long-standing Goodyear employee who was subject to a non-compete agreement.
Result
We transferred the lawsuit from the Ohio court to Kansas and thereafter prevailed in a contentious hearing, resulting in a dismissal of all claims against Continental and the former Goodyear employee. The employee then began employment with Continental without restrictions or payment.
