Provide clearance and advice on trademarks, trade dress, copyrights and designs in the U.S. and worldwide.
Represent clients before the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Represent clients before U.S. Customs regarding alleged counterfeit goods, incorrect classification and the importation of apparel under free trade agreements.
Advise fashion and other clients in connection with leases and other real estate transactions.
Review and negotiate contracts, purchase order terms and conditions, buying agency agreements and distribution agreements in the footwear industry.
Represent clients in the acquisition and sale of fashion brands and companies.
Prosecute and enforce footwear and clothing utility and design patents.
Provide advice on apparel website development, content, privacy policies, COPPA, FTC and e-commerce practices.
Prosecute and defend on behalf of fashion clients in a variety of litigation matters, including intellectual property infringements, cancellations and oppositions, UDRP proceedings, employment-related disputes, labor relations, and employee benefits and executive compensation issues.
Represent fashion clients in connection with environmental issues, such as the import/export of chemical substances used in production; conducting transactional due diligence worldwide to ensure compliance and proper permitting in accordance with statutes and regulations (e.g., Mexico, Asia, Europe).
Advise fashion clients on corporate and tax matters, including company formation, company dissolution, acquisitions, divestitures and financing arrangements.
Conduct compliance reviews and provide representation to clients relating to alleged violations of lead levels and other materials regulated under state and federal law.
