News Releases

Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce Bart Turner has joined the firm as a partner on the firm’s Real Estate, Development and Construction industry team.

Turner’s practice is focused on construction, and he has extensive experience negotiating and drafting complex engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts in renewable energy projects, hydrocarbons projects, as well as industrial and infrastructure projects. In addition, he represents clients in managing construction disputes that arise during project execution.

“Bart is a well-respected and connected attorney in Houston and throughout Texas, and we’re delighted to have him join us,” said Kate David, Houston Office Managing Partner. “We’re expecting the renewable energy sector to continue growing in Texas, and Bart will be a tremendous asset for our clients that are investing in and developing these types of projects.”

“Bart’s experience is a welcomed addition for both our construction and renewable energy teams,” said Carrie Hermeling, leader of the firm’s Real Estate, Development and Construction industry team. “Our clients will be very pleased to have a resource of Bart’s caliber.”

Bart has nearly two decades of experience representing owners and large tier-one EPC contractors in the renewable, hydrocarbons and industrial power sectors. He earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law, a LL.M from University of Miami School of Law and his B.B.A. from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry and frequently speaks on topics affecting EPC contractors.

“Husch Blackwell has a longstanding reputation in Texas dating back to its predecessor firm Brown McCarroll and is a national leader in both construction and renewable energy,” Turner said. “I’m excited to be a part of such an excellent team and immediately begin working with my clients and new colleagues on projects that will positively impact our communities.”
