Dallas Business Journal has recognized Husch Blackwell partner Chalon Clark as a 2019 Minority Business Leader.

The Minority Business Leader Award program, now in its twelfth year, honors men and women throughout Dallas-Fort Worth for exceptional business and community leadership. Clark was recognized for her law practice, where she focuses on commercial litigation and labor and employment matters, as well as her co-ownership (with her husband, Richard) of one of the Metroplex’s hottest restaurants: The Island Spot Jamaican Kitchen and Bar.

Clark is a member of the Husch Blackwell’s Financial Services & Capital Markets industry group and the firm’s Diversity Committee and Hiring Committee. She spearheaded the firm’s participation with the Diverse Attorney Pipeline Program (DAPP), a non-profit corporation that aims to diversify the legal profession by expanding opportunities for women of color law students. Clark also serves on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Bar Association and as a Mentor for the Dallas Women Lawyers Association and is active in the Dallas Black Women Attorneys Association, serving as Chair in 2012.

Clark and her fellow Minority Business Leaders will be honored at a luncheon February 12, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Dallas.
