Levine, head of Husch Blackwell’s cannabis practice, is recognized by Chambers USA in inaugural nationwide Cannabis Law rankings.

The 2019 edition of Chambers USA recognized Husch Blackwell partner Steve Levine as a Band 1 practitioner in its inaugural nationwide rankings for firms and lawyers in the area of Cannabis Law. Unveiled late last week, the latest Chambers USA directory named a total of 13 lawyers to its Band 1 category in Cannabis Law.

Resident in the firm’s Denver office, Levine is head of Husch Blackwell’s cannabis practice and regularly advises multi-state operators of vertically integrated cannabis operations, testing facilities operators, marijuana technology companies, industrial hemp farms and processors, landlords, private equity funds, banks and public companies across a broad range of M&A, corporate and regulatory issues. Clients quoted in Chambers USA noted Levine’s ability to incorporate regulatory concerns into the corporate and transactional legal advice he provides.

In 2018 the National Law Journal recognized Levine in its NLJ Trailblazers series on cannabis law. He has also been recognized since 2016 by 5280 The Denver Magazine as a top marijuana lawyer. He is also a former member of the National Cannabis Industry Association’s Policy Council.
