Husch Blackwell lawyer Steve Levine was recognized by 5280 magazine as a top lawyer in the area of Marijuana Law, the second consecutive year he has earned that distinction.
A member of the firm’s Food and Agribusiness group, Levine has represented clients in the cannabis industry since 2010 on matters ranging from corporate law, financing and real estate transactions to state and federal regulations pertaining to medical and recreational use of cannabis.
Earlier this year, the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) elected Levine to its NCIA Policy Council, a body comprised of industry leaders selected by NCIA’s Board of Directors and that plays a critical role in the development of cannabis policy at the federal level, including the areas of tax policy, the classification of cannabis, advertising and marketing, and the broad range of regulatory issues that will arise at the federal level in the coming years due to nationwide efforts toward marijuana legalization.
