The firm was also awarded a “Plus” designation for the second year in a row based on its attainment of at least a 30 percent threshold of diverse lawyer representation in a notable number of current leadership roles.

Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that it has achieved the Mansfield Certification Plus designation for 2020.

To receive Mansfield Certification, law firms must consider at least 30 percent women, attorneys of color or LGBTQ+ attorneys and lawyers with disabilities for 70 percent or more of the firm’s leadership positions, equity partner promotions, formal client pitch opportunities, and senior lateral positions. The firm was also awarded a “Plus” designation for the second year in a row based on its attainment of at least a 30 percent threshold of diverse lawyer representation in a notable number of current leadership roles.

The Mansfield Certification program is operated by Diversity Lab, an entity that verifies law firm hiring practices across the U.S. for diversity and inclusion efforts. The goal of the program is to boost the representation of diverse lawyers in law firm leadership by broadening the pool of candidates considered for these opportunities.

Diversity Lab launched the program, named for Arabella Mansfield, the first woman admitted to practice law in the United States in 1869, in 2018. Husch Blackwell is included among the 117 firms registered for Mansfield 4.0 Certification in 2021.
