Husch Blackwell Advises AMC Theatres in $1.2 Billion Acquisition of Odeon & UCI Cinemas

Husch Blackwell represented AMC Theatres in its acquisition of Odeon & UCI Cinemas Group, a $1.2 billion deal that would make AMC the largest movie theater operator in the world, with more than 7,600 screens in eight countries.

Husch Blackwell partner Jim Ash led the transaction team, along with partner Kirstin Salzman, senior counsel Shari Wright and associate Bert Seefeldt.

Odeon & UCI, based in London, is the largest theater operator in Europe with 2,246 screens. The transaction is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2016. Read the BusinessWire story regarding the transaction online.
