National law firm Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce the growth of its fiduciary litigation practice with the addition of Dallas-based partner Darla Gabbitas. A seasoned litigator with deep experience in fiduciary duty matters, Gabbitas joins Husch Blackwell from Wick Phillips.

With a strong reputation in the Fort Worth, Texas market, Gabbitas represents clients in trial courts, appellate courts, and arbitrations. She has tried cases involving contested guardianships, defective trusts, undue influence in procuring trusts and wills, and complex business disputes involving overlapping duties among members of limited liability companies, family limited partnerships, general partnerships, and trustees of trusts.

“Darla has a strong reputation in Fort Worth, which, as those familiar with the DFW metroplex know, is a decidedly distinct market from Dallas, where we also have outstanding capabilities,” said Sverre Roang, leader of the firm’s Financial Services and Capital Markets industry group. “She not only adds depth to our Dallas office, but she is also a great fit with the Husch Blackwell culture. We’re thrilled to have her join our firm.”

“Husch Blackwell’s national platform was appealing as it offers my existing clients additional breadth and depth,” Gabbitas added. “Scott Weber has been a mentor to me throughout my career and having the opportunity to practice with him was an opportunity I could not pass up. I look forward to helping grow the Husch Blackwell brand in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.”
