Husch Blackwell represented Healium, a virtual and augmented reality biofeedback company, in negotiating a know-how agreement with Mayo Clinic. Healium is a self-awareness and self-management tool that uses augmented reality (AR)/virtual reality (VR) in combination with biometrics from fitness trackers including EEG headbands to help people manage their mental health and sleep.
Led by partner Nathan Oleen, the know-how agreement will allow the Mayo Clinic to provide subject matter expertise to Healium to assist in the development of immersive mental health and fitness capabilities utilizing AR and VR.
“We’re proud to have represented Healium in this collaboration with the Mayo Clinic,” Oleen said. “Healium is creating a revolutionary resource to cope with stress management that doesn’t require medication. It’s pushing the science forward and helping to lift the stigma surrounding mental health.”
