News Releases

Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce the launch of its Workplace Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team, an experienced group of labor and employment attorneys adept at developing diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives, enhancing recruitment efforts, strategic planning, data acquisition, reporting, retention, and more.

Husch Blackwell is one of the first few Am Law 100 firms to establish a Workplace Diversity, Equity & Inclusion practice team.

“There is a strong business case that having a diverse workforce positively impacts a company’s revenue and profits. Companies with diverse management teams have been proven to boost revenue by 19 percent, and diverse companies enjoy 2.3 times more cash flow per employee,” said Husch Blackwell partner Erik Eisenmann, who co-leads the Workplace Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team. “Our goal is to help clients operationalize the aspirational when it comes to their DE&I efforts.”

Led by Eisenmann, Catarina Colón and Kayla Loveless, the Workplace Diversity, Equity & Inclusion practice provides customized training programs, workplace investigations, tools to report misconduct, auditing, and DE&I needs assessments, as well as a full suite of communication tools to support DE&I.

“Our team is not comprised of simply a few employment lawyers who do DE&I work on the side,” said Eisenmann. “We have several lawyers who have completed Cornell University’s Diversity & Inclusion program, which involved substantive coursework and 50-70 hours of training. Our team is eminently credentialed and experienced in this area, and we are committed to bringing that knowledge to bear on the emerging legal and operational issues that DE&I entails.”

The team will host a June 29, 2022 webinar entitled: Workplace DE&I: Helping Businesses Move from Ideas to Action. Registration for this webinar is now open.
