News Releases

Husch Blackwell’s Milwaukee office participated in “Draft Day” at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School on August 15, kicking off the school year and the school’s corporate work study program that prepares high school students for success in college and a professional career.

The Milwaukee office of Husch Blackwell has participated in the program since it began in 2015.  “Student participation in this work study program is a life-changing experience,” said Paul Eberle, Deputy CEO of Husch Blackwell and board chair of Cristo Rey. “Students receive real-life exposure to the corporate world and our corporate partners have an opportunity to be a positive influence in the lives of these students.”

Husch Blackwell joined other leading companies, including Northwestern Mutual, R.W. Baird, SPX, Froedtert Health, Harley-Davidson and Marquette University, in providing full-time positions to the Cristo Rey students. The students—Jorge Romero, Juan Esparza, Wendy Sanchez and Itaty Ramirez—will each work about one day per week at the firm throughout the school year assisting attorneys and staff members in various departments.
