Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that it has been named by the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance (DAFA) as a 2021 “Tipping the Scales” firm, which recognizes law firms for having 50 percent or more women in their 2021 U.S.- based new partner classes.

Women composed 57 percent of Husch Blackwell’s 2021 partner class. DAFA recognized 67 firms as “Tipping the Scales” firms, which were identified through the DAFA’s New Partner Report. This report revealed that 42.4 percent of new partners from a representative sample of 122 major U.S. law firms in 2021 were women, an increase from last year’s figure of 40.9 percent.

The DAFA recognition comes on the heels of the firm’s receipt of Mansfield Plus certification for the third consecutive year. “Diversity and inclusion are important markers not only with regard to how we do business as a firm, but as part of a commitment we make to our people,” said Amanda Garcia-Williams, Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion officer. “The result of our commitment is a team of lawyers and staff who are diverse as individuals but unified by our enthusiasm for serving our clients through the practice of law in our communities.”
