Husch Blackwell Obtains Zoning Approval for Milwaukee Building Owner

News Releases

A Husch Blackwell real estate team successfully obtained zoning approval for Greywolf Partners to allow the commercial real estate company to bring in a nursing school to Honey Creek Corporate Center in Milwaukee.

The City of Milwaukee required Greywolf to secure a zoning change to add “college and university” to the list of permitted uses for the business park, despite two colleges previously leasing space.

Greywolf Partners faced opposition from a number of parties seeking to keep Arizona College of Nursing from leasing space, however, Husch Blackwell partner Rodney Carter successfully lobbied Milwaukee’s 15 aldermen and mayor to update the approved uses for the business park.

“This is a significant win for Greywolf Partners at a time when vacancy rates remain high,” Carter said. “This partnership with Arizona College of Nursing provides Greywolf with guaranteed occupancy while also helping address the nursing shortage in the greater Milwaukee area.”

In addition to Carter, the Husch Blackwell team included Brad Dallet, Jake Remington, and Joe Diedrich.
