National law firm Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that its St. Louis office—designed by architecture firm Partners by Design—has earned recognition in Interior Design’s 18th annual Best of Year Awards in the category of small corporate office.
Husch Blackwell’s St. Louis office settled into the newly constructed Commerce Bank Tower, located at 8001 Forsyth Blvd., in downtown Clayton, Missouri, in March 2023. Husch Blackwell’s Workplace Strategy Team, led by Phil AuBuchon, collaborated with Partners by Design to create the office design, aiming to set the firm apart as an industry leader with a definitive direction for future workplace developments.
“We’re thrilled Partners by Design received this Best of Year award,” said Bret Chapman, Husch Blackwell’s Chief Operating Officer. “The design reflects our commitment to an office space that offers our internal and external clients a workspace that is flexible, high-tech, collaborative, and inclusive, while also maintaining focus on the firm’s targets regarding costs and square footage per attorney.”
The design merges professional and casual settings, providing natural light and outside visibility for all employees, enhanced technology, and ergonomically designed furniture that have significantly contributed to better office interactions and services.
“The space has already made an impact in getting more energy into the environment, engaging with clients and community organizations, and having the flexibility to serve so many of our needs,” said Bob Tomaso, Husch Blackwell’s St. Louis office managing partner. “The office space, which provides state-of-the-art amenities, serves as a valuable asset for competing in the legal industry and is pivotal in delivering an uncommon client experience that aligns seamlessly with our firm’s culture.”
Located at the corner of Forsyth and North Brentwood Boulevards, Forsyth Pointe encompasses two office towers, a 1,200-car parking garage, a one-acre garden terrace on the sixth floor, and ground-floor retail space. There is a 7,500-square-foot fitness facility located on the terrace level, which is available to the tenants of both towers. The project was designed to meet LEED Silver rating and features a green roof and electric vehicle charging stations within the garage.
Additionally, Partners by Design received the Interiors Merit Award during the American Institute of Architects (AIA) St. Louis 2023 Design Awards.
