Husch Blackwell Receives 2017 Pro Bono Publico Award from Missouri Bar Association

Husch Blackwell received one of four 2017 Pro Bono Publico Awards from the Missouri Bar Association at luncheon ceremonies in Kansas City today.

The Pro Bono Publico Awards  “recognize and appreciate attorneys or law firms who demonstrate exemplary service to needy persons and to encourage all attorneys to imitate their example,” according to the Missouri Bar Association. Husch Blackwell has a long-standing commitment to providing pro bono legal services to individuals, public service groups and charitable organizations that are unable to pay for needed legal representation. Firmwide in 2016, Husch Blackwell attorneys and professionals helped 172 organizations by donating 29,414 hours totaling more than $9 million.

Missouri State Senator and Husch Blackwell partner Scott Sifton of St. Louis also was honored with one of four Missouri Bar Legislative Awards, which recognize Missouri legislators who have made significant contributions to legislation that affects the administration of justice and the integrity of the judiciary. Sen. Sifton practices with Husch Blackwell’s Real Estate, Development & Construction group.
