Husch Blackwell represented Kansas City-based Savion, LLC, a subsidiary of Macquarie Capital, in the sale to S&B USA of the 200 MW Brazoria West solar project in Brazoria County, Texas. Construction will begin in the second quarter of 2021, and the plant is expected to be operational in the next year with a total output capacity of 200 MW of renewable solar energy.

Husch Blackwell provided real estate, development, and construction law advice, as well as state and federal regulatory and environmental law assistance for the project.

“The entire team was excited to reach this very important first step in the project, and we look forward to continuing to assist Savion to achieve debt and tax equity financing in the coming months. These projects are very important for the Texas energy market, and we are always glad to be able to play a role in these transactions.” said Brian Pullin, an Austin-based partner with Husch Blackwell who co-led the representation along with partner Cacki Jewart.

The Husch Blackwell team led by Jewart and Pullin also includes Maria Faconti, Megan Caldwell, Bob Romashko, Sandy Hellums-Gomez, Mashaal Bhaidani, and Fred Jauss.
