The American Bar Association’s (ABA) Health Law Section recognized Husch Blackwell with the overall top ranking in its 10th Annual Regional Law Firm Recognition List Top 10. In addition to its #1 national ranking, the firm placed first in the Midwest region and fourth in the South region. The award individually recognizes the top ten law firms with the largest number of health law lawyer members in the ABA Health Law Section as of August 31, 2022, both nationally and in the Northeast, Southeast and DC, South, Midwest, and West Regions.

In addition to topping the ABA Health Section’s Top 10 List, Husch Blackwell’s healthcare team has received numerous accolades in 2022. Earlier this year, the firm placed third in the American Health Law Association’s Top Honors listing, which recognizes law firms “that consistently and enthusiastically encourage and sustain their members’ and employees’ affiliation with AHLA.” The firm also earned national rankings from Chambers USA and Legal 500 US in their healthcare law categories.

Katz was the third Husch Blackwell attorney to serve as the ABA Health Law Section Chair. Other former chairs include David Hilgers (Austin) and Andy Demetriou (Los Angeles).
