Scott Schneider is a nationally recognized attorney who focuses on higher education legal issues and institutional responses to sexual misconduct allegations.

Husch Blackwell is pleased to welcome Scott D. Schneider to its Austin office as a partner in its Higher Education practice group. A nationally recognized attorney who focuses on higher education legal issues and institutional responses to sexual misconduct allegations, Schneider has assisted and litigated cases on behalf of educational institutions around the country. He is also a noted consultant, presenter and trainer on higher education and labor and employment issues such as Title IX compliance, legal issues in faculty hiring, promotion and tenure relocation, and student affairs risk management. In 2015, he was selected by the National Center for Campus Public Safety to help deliver a Trauma-Informed Sexual Assault and Adjudication training program.

Schneider is an award-winning professor at Tulane University, where he teaches courses in the Law School on higher education law, Title IX, and labor and employment law. He is active in the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA) and the National Association of Independent Schools. 

Schneider earned his J.D. cum laude from Washington and Lee University School of Law (1998) and his B.S. magna cum laude from the University of New Orleans (1994).
