Husch Blackwell's Iana Vladimirova Selected for NCBJ Next Generation Program

Vladimirova, based in the firm's Madison office, is one of 40 up-and-coming bankruptcy practitioners with 5 to 10 years of experience participating in the program. 

Iana Vladimirova of Husch Blackwell is one of 40 participants nationwide selected by the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ) to participate in its 10th annual Next Generation (NextGen) program.

Vladimirova, an associate in the firm’s Financial Services & Capital Markets group, represents debtors and creditors in all types of insolvency matters. Among her clients are large financial institutions, corporate entities, business owners, individuals, condominium associations and equipment finance lenders. She also devotes a significant portion of her practice to commercial finance matters, including those involving work on upfront credit extensions.

To be eligible for consideration, participants were required to meet the following qualification criteria:

  • Devote at least 50 percent of their practice to bankruptcy;
  • Demonstrate legal excellence in the practice of bankruptcy law;
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the continued educational development of bankruptcy professionals and professional activities that will benefit the public, members of the bar, and the court system; and
  • Display a serious commitment to principles of civility, ethics, and professionalism.

Each of the 40 NextGen participants were nominated, and then randomly selected from the nomination pool. The NextGen program will take place during NCBJ’s Annual Meeting October 30-November 2, 2019 in Washington, D.C.
