Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce the launch of its Renewable Energy practice team’s 2019 webinar series. The theme for this year’s series is “Keeping Your Project on Track,” a multi-part exploration of how to identify and address numerous challenges and risks to renewable energy projects.

The series is aimed at the decision-makers and stakeholders tasked with managing or monitoring legal, financial and operational risk, including general counsels, renewable energy executives, developers, in-house counsel, business development managers, financial and business analysts, project investors, public officials, and other development consultants and service providers.

The initial installment of the 2019 series is scheduled to take place Wednesday, August 21, 2019, and will run from noon-1 p.m. CDT The webinar will discuss the federal, state and local environmental and development permits required for typical wind and solar energy projects. Specifically, the program will address circumstances that trigger the need for a permit; the studies and assessments generally performed to evaluate the applicability of permitting requirements; and the time table for when to apply for and obtain permits.

The program will be presented by Husch Blackwell attorneys Megan Caldwell and Alison Nelson.

Future programs include a September 17 webinar addressing mineral rights in Texas wind and solar project development and a program on project finance to be held during the fourth quarter on a date still to be determined.

The webinar series is free and open to the public; however, registration is required.
