Janelle Carter Anderson Joins Husch Blackwell's Chicago Office

Anderson brings a diverse background to her practice with service as in-house counsel to a global healthcare and technology education provider as well as a state university.

Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Janelle Carter Anderson has joined the firm as senior counsel in its Chicago office.

Anderson joins the firm’s Healthcare, Life Sciences and Education group and its Higher Education and Labor & Employment practices. She brings a diverse background to her practice with service as in-house counsel to a global healthcare and technology education provider as well as a state university. She has experience with global organizational employment matters including hiring, performance management, reductions in force, noncompete agreements, and employee benefits. At the university level, she directed all legal matters, including student affairs, contract drafting and negotiation, regulatory compliance, litigation, policy development, governance, training and risk management. She also spearheaded and implemented the university’s Title IX compliance program.

Anderson earned her J. D. from Georgetown University Law School and her B.A. cum laude in political science from Spelman College. She is a member of the Federal Bar Association, Chicago Chapter and the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA).
