Keyon Brown Named to The National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 in Illinois

Husch Blackwell associate Keyon Brown has been selected by The National Black Lawyers for inclusion in its Top 40 Under 40 Black Lawyers, an honor given to only a select group of lawyers for their superior skills and qualifications in the field.

Based in Husch Blackwell’s Chicago office, Brown advises on all matters real estate law, including financing, acquisitions, dispositions, and development of commercial properties, and provides counsel on real estate corporate matters in relation to partnerships, joint ventures, RE funds and private equity. He also advises start-up companies on matters regarding formation and strategic growth.  Brown earned his J.D. from University of Wisconsin Law School and his B.S. in retail management from Purdue University.

The NBL celebrates legal excellence by promoting attorneys as subject-matter experts, developing a strong national network of top African American attorneys, and facilitating the exchange of timely information to enable members to maintain their status as leaders. Top 40 Under 40 candidates must be nominated by current NBL members and are evaluated on factors that include an outstanding reputation among peers, the judiciary and the public; notable achievements, settlements, and verdicts as a lawyer; leadership and membership in other national and state specialty lawyer organizations; and rankings and ratings by leading national evaluation organizations. Membership is limited to the top 40 attorneys under the age of 40 in each state who have demonstrated excellence and have achieved outstanding results in their careers.
