Hayley Hanson and Ashley Norgard were named Top Business Practitioners.

Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Missouri Lawyers Weekly has recognized partner Hayley Hanson and associate Ashley Norgard in its Women’s Justice Awards series. Hanson and Norgard were named Top Business Practitioners. The Business Practitioner Award recognizes those who exhibit leadership, professionalism, and a passion for improving the quality of the justice system or contributing to the betterment of the legal profession. Missouri Lawyers Weekly has named seven honorees statewide for this year’s Business Practitioner category.

Hanson is based in Kansas City and leads Husch Blackwell’s Education group. Under Hanson’s leadership, the firm’s Education group has grown into one of the largest such practices in the United States and has a varied roster of clients, including major research institutions, regional universities, private colleges, nursing and allied health schools, community colleges, and proprietary schools and publicly traded school groups, as well as public school districts and independent primary and secondary schools.

Practicing in the firm’s Healthcare, Life Sciences & Education industry group, the Springfield-based Norgard counsels clients in connection with lawsuits and administrative claims involving alleged discrimination, retaliation and harassment, as well as with matters concerning personnel decisions, wage and hour matters, internal complaints, investigations and disability accommodations. She is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment and Healthcare Operations practice teams.

The 19th annual Women’s Justice Awards event takes place April 27 at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown St. Louis. The winners will be profiled in a special section of Missouri Lawyers Weekly on April 24.
