Definition of “Public Works”: The erection, construction, remodeling, or repairing of a public building or other public work financed in whole or part by state funds.
Categories of Construction Covered: Heavy/highway, commercial construction and residential construction
Source of Funds: All public works financed in whole or part by state funds except when (1) the estimated total cost of completing the project is less than $2,500 and only one trade or occupation is required to complete it, or (2) the estimated total cost of completing the project is less than $25,000 and more than one trade or occupation is required to complete it.
