Implicit Bias 101: Life & the Legal Profession

This hour workshop is designed to raise consciousness about what implicit biases are and how harmful implicit biases in society can negatively impact individual decision making and behavior. The workshop will also take a quick look at how societal biases affect and infect the legal profession. This program is being offered to meet the new Missouri CLE requirement for one hour devoted exclusively to explicit or implicit bias, diversity, inclusion or cultural competency.

Professor Norwood has requested that participants take two implicit association tests (IATs) before the meeting: the RACE IAT and the Gender Career IAT.
