The Opportunity Zones (OZ) program is the first new major federal tax incentive for community development in almost two decades. By providing investors with tax benefits for qualifying investments, the program is designed to encourage investment in economically-distressed communities across the country.

Possible market participants, ranging from real estate developers, investors, wealth managers, community leaders, and any tax payer with significant capital gains should understand the implications of this significant new program and the opportunities it affords.

Please join the Husch Blackwell Opportunity Zones team for a discussion on this new legislation and its utility in a variety of contexts.
