In this peer-to-peer session, we explore the rapidly expanding role of State Attorneys General in public policy debates and impacting corporate compliance. It will discuss their use of tools traditionally employed by politicians—such as the bully pulpit, advocacy letters, or regulatory commentary letters—as well as tools more typically reserved to them, such as amicus briefs or litigation brought in the name of states, and seeking policy outcomes.
