Speaker, "Trial Dockets and Settlement Conferences in Asbestos Litigation Hotspots: What to Know and How to Prepare," Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel (IDC) webinar

Speaking Engagements

Danielle Luisi and James O'Shea will co-present at the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel (IDC) webinar, “Trial Dockets and Settlement Conferences in Asbestos Litigation Hotspots: What to Know and How to Prepare,” on February 26, 2021.

With in-person trials and settlement conferences likely resuming in some form this year, defense attorneys should familiarize themselves with the practices of each venue. Illinois and Missouri are home to some of the most active asbestos litigation dockets in the country, and individual courts may have unique written and unwritten rules, procedures and customs. It is imperative that defense counsel understand these, as well as judges’ expectations and significant developments in asbestos litigation in a particular venue. During this webinar, the speakers will provide information and practical tips about settlement conferences and trial dockets in Madison County, St. Clair County, McLean County, Cook County and the City of St. Louis. Court rules governing conferences and dockets, expectations of parties and counsel, and various plaintiff firms will be discussed.
