Violence in the workplace presents a growing and significant challenge to healthcare employers, patients, providers and staff. Because healthcare facilities often have open doors, they are frequently the site of violence that may result from external conflict carried into the facility or perpetrated by patients, family members, or co-workers against healthcare workers.
In this session, Husch Blackwell attorneys and guests will offer multi-disciplinary perspectives on the strategies for mitigating the risk of violence from both inside and outside the facility walls, including but not limited to collaboration between healthcare facilities and law enforcement.
