Predicted severe heat and historically low ERCOT reserve margins have led ERCOT to warn that chances for entering into emergency alert status have increased. This will likely motivate state and federal regulatory bodies to closely monitor resource availability, performance, and legal and regulatory compliance. The PUCT has already called for heightened awareness and weather preparedness heading into this summer, suggesting it will have little patience for resource unavailability stemming from inadequate preparation.
The webinar will discuss the ERCOT protocols and the PUCT rules governing resource preparedness, as well as identify compliance strategies for standards most likely to challenge renewable resources this summer.
