Amalia is a corporate attorney with a focus on mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
Initially committed to a pre-med track in college, Amalia decided to pivot towards law after discovering her passion for it in a course during her senior year. Her interest was further solidified through her work as a corporate immigration coordinator in London and as a paralegal in New York.
During her time in law school, Amalia was fascinated by an Anthropology of Law class, which allowed her to explore the legal field from a multi-disciplinary perspective, comparing different legal systems around the world. The experience gave her a unique perspective on corporate law, especially in the context of legal documents in trans-national business operations.
Amalia’s interest in the corporate and transactional practice area stems from her love for learning about new industries. She enjoys the process of bringing two companies together to create a new entity, all while ensuring that clients are not exposed to additional risks. While her focus is on M&A deals, Amalia also seeks out pro bono opportunities in the immigration area. She has previously worked with Afghan asylum-seekers and finds the complexity of immigration law both challenging and rewarding.
Amalia is known for her ability to listen to and understand clients’ problems, finding trustworthy and workable solutions. Her global background, coupled with her dedication and passion for law, makes her a valuable addition to any team.
