Overview

Beatrice focuses on patent and trademark prosecution.

Prior to pursuing a legal career, Beatrice worked as a territory account manager at Avient Corporation, where she managed strategic account plans and facilitated product development projects. This experience drew on her chemical engineering degree and gave her valuable insight into working with inventors and engineers; however, her contact with intellectual property attorneys through her work convinced her to switch careers.

Beatrice was naturally drawn to intellectual property law because it combines her technical background with legal practice, and she knew from the beginning of her legal studies that she wanted to focus on patent prosecution. During law school, a field placement exposed her to trademark practice as well, which she found to be a perfect balance with the technicality of patent work. Beatrice now focuses her practice on both fields.

A reliable and effective attorney, Beatrice is known for her curiosity, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to learn new things quickly. These qualities make her a valuable asset in pursuing and defending intellectual property.

Outside the Office

Most of Beatrice’s free time is devoted to her beloved dog, Magnus. Magnus is a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon (similar to a German Shorthaired Pointer) whom Beatrice and her husband adopted during the pandemic. In the midst of COVID-19 closures, training and hunting with Magnus became the couple’s primary hobby. In addition to hunting, the dog now also enjoys canicross, paddleboarding, and tracking, and Batrice hopes to being dock diving with him soon.

Beatrice also enjoys reading, watching movies, catching up with friends, and spending time outdoors—especially hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing.
