Overview

With extensive trial experience gained early in his career, Chris represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters, with a special focus on the healthcare industry.

Chris handles all phases of litigation in state and federal court. He has deposed hundreds of witnesses, both factual and expert; defended countless depositions; and successfully first-chaired a bench trial where he obtained a complete defense verdict. He has also second-chaired jury trials with demands in the hundreds of millions. While Chris has represented clients in a wide variety of industries, he is particularly experienced in healthcare, where he has worked with various providers, and transportation, where clients have included shipping and trucking companies.

After joining a healthcare-focused law firm as a young associate, Chris represented hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, senior living centers, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers in medical malpractice cases and administrative actions. He has successfully obtained full dismissals of cases against these clients, and he has also successfully represented providers in internal administrative reviews from hospital committees and before various state licensing agencies, including the Texas Board of Nursing. Chris finds it immensely rewarding to defend healthcare organizations and providers so that they can continue in their mission of serving patients.

For Chris, the core of lawyering is helping people: he chose to become a litigator out of a desire to help clients in times of crisis, and he purposefully selected a law school known for its trial advocacy program. Thanks to frequent trial experience at a previous firm, Chris is thoroughly comfortable in the courtroom and before both judges and juries. He’s also a deeply strategic attorney who fully understands the importance of developing a client-specific strategy for each case, and then letting it inform every decision at every stage of litigation. Clients know that Chris will leave no stone unturned in their defense, personally investing in achieving the best outcome possible.
