Emilee advocates for clients in complex commercial litigation matters.
With experience in a wide variety of business disputes, Emilee has a particular focus on litigation within the financial industry, including litigation related to lending practices, fraudulent transfer, and breach of contract, as well as data breach and privacy litigation, including defending class action suits nationwide. She finds the latter particularly fascinating due to the complexity of the legal issues and technology at the center of these cases.
First encouraged to pursue a career as a litigator by a law school professor, Emilee quickly discovered that she excelled at the legal research and writing required—and even taught Legal Writing and Analysis as an adjunct professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Law for five semesters. She also loves serving as an advocate for clients, finding paths out of difficult legal situations, and handling litigation matters from initial filing all the way through appeal.
Emilee has a strong track record on both the plaintiff and defense sides, a background that gives her useful insight into the opposition and helps her develop more advanced strategies for clients. She represents clients of all sizes in state and federal court, including major banks and Fortune 100 companies, and has built a niche practice representing woman-owned businesses. Emilee prides herself on knowing her cases inside and out, understanding which facts are most likely to carry the day. She’s also known for caring about clients on a personal level, investing in their cases and ensuring she gets them to the best outcome possible.
