Emily focuses on public policy and government affairs work.
Emily’s experiences as an Economics major and as a page at the Nebraska Legislature during her undergraduate education inspired her to pursue law. Her degree gave her a better understanding of how policy changes impact the local economy and stakeholders, and she witnessed the immense impact legislative changes had on the community while working as a page. She was motivated to understand the legal challenges faced by communities and how laws can both positively and negatively impact different groups. She recognizes how small changes in legal and regulatory structures can lead to unique challenges for clients.
During law school, Emily’s coursework gave her an in-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks and their implications for both individuals and businesses. Emily’s favorite courses include Administrative Law, Health Law, and Food Law and Policy. She also served as President of Mizzou Law OUTLaw, organizing fundraisers and engaging deeply with policy and advocacy work. Emily spent two summers as a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, where she got involved in work related to federal legislation, regulations, and government contracts.
Emily is known as thoughtful, analytical, and collaborative. She aims to leave clients feeling confident in their path forward and brings a detail-oriented and proactive approach to her work.
