Gwendolyn represents private and public institutions of higher education in a variety of legal matters.

Gwen offers comprehensive counsel to higher education clients. She represents clients in administrative proceedings, state and federal court, and before the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights. She litigates and advises colleges and universities on:

  • Employment disputes, including tenure
  • Student affairs issues
  • Contract claims
  • Constitutional claims
  • Disability and accommodations
  • Campus safety issues
  • Compliance issues
  • Policies and handbooks
  • Discrimination claims, including those arising under Title IX

A team player, Gwen builds strong relationships with clients and supports the attorney team. She feels drawn to her mission-driven clients and finds inspiration in the societal contributions higher education institutions offer to educators, students and the entire community.

Gwen lives in Lincoln Park with her husband and two daughters. They enjoy visiting the zoo, Lake Michigan beaches, and parks and museums around the city.
