Jacob has extensive experience representing clients in connection with critical corporate and real property transactions. He regularly prepares and negotiates leases, purchase and sale agreements, distribution agreements, loan documents and other complex commercial agreements for a variety of renewable energy projects across the country. Known as an efficient and highly responsive attorney, Jacob is committed to getting clients accurate and timely answers while ensuring that their transactions stay on track.
His recent experience includes:
- Representing a client in the sale of a company for more than $60 million;
- Drafting amendments to and helping a client comply with a carry and earning agreement involving an investment of $300 million; and
- Preparing all critical deal documents and handling negotiations for seller in connection with a $60 million carry and earning agreement for the development of oil and gas interests in North Dakota.
Jacob’s practice also includes assisting businesses with regulatory compliance and administrative matters involving land use and energy natural resources issues, such as permitting, zoning, environmental compliance, site remediation, and hazardous substances.
In addition to working in private practice, Jacob brings experience as in-house counsel, assisting with project financing and divestitures throughout the U.S. While the company concentrated heavily on solar projects, Jacob assisted with battery storage facility development as well. His time in-house taught him how crucial responsiveness is from outside counsel. Jacob understands first-hand the value of an accessible attorney.
