Jenna’s journey into law began with a desire to help people solve problems. As a first-generation college graduate, Jenna was initially interested in family law but discovered a passion for labor and employment due to its people-oriented nature. This practice area allows Jenna to combine her love for listening to people with solving complex issues.
During law school, Jenna’s involvement in pro bono work at Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinics and the Neighborhood Law Clinic stood out. She assisted clients with various issues and even petitioned the Wisconsin Supreme Court on a housing law matter. As President of the First Generation Lawyers organization at UW Law, she also gained leadership experience. A pivotal moment was her decision to take an introductory labor and employment course, which quickly became her favorite.
Jenna’s internship with the Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission provided valuable insights into the labor process and conflict resolution. She engaged in mediations between police and fire unions and wrote impartial hearing decisions for school districts. This experience reinforced her commitment to fair treatment and equity in the workplace.
As a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, Jenna conducted multi-state research on non-competes, assisted in enforcement cases, and prepared client presentations on workplace training. She enjoyed the dynamic and challenging nature of labor and employment law, staying updated on trends and tackling complex issues.
Jenna is known for her ability to listen and understand client needs, break down complex issues, and communicate solutions clearly. Her attention to detail and effective communication make her a trusted advocate for clients facing labor and employment challenges.
