As a CPA with an MBA, Julia draws on her accounting and business background to provide clients with a holistic approach in a range of real estate transactions.
With a lifelong love of numbers, Julia first went to college to study accounting, but an accounting professor told her she had an attorney's mind. The observation fit Julia's growing instinct that she'd prefer a career where she had more opportunities to develop creative solutions. After completion of her MBA with an accounting focus, Julia enrolled in law school.
Julia previously served as a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, working on real estate development matters and private wealth tax matters, before joining the firm as a full associate. She now assists clients with securing private and public financing, acquiring and disposing assets, drafting corporate documents, and handling development matters.
Julia's background as a CPA has provided her with a solid understanding of business and accounting concepts, which allows her to apply a holistic approach when providing legal services. Alongside her real estate work, Julia maintains an active pro-bono practice with a particular focus on promoting minority owned businesses.
