Kate utilizes her strong research and relationship skills to assist clients with real property transactions and land use matters.
Kate focuses her practice on purchase and sale transactions with a particular focus on national portfolio acquisitions and dispositions. In addition, Kate has created a niche practice in self storage development and telecommunication.
Alongside her purchase, sale, and development work, Kate resolves thorny land use issues that can block cell towers and other telecommunications projects. She regularly handles easement, right of way, and zoning questions, navigating municipal codes across the country to find creative solutions for clients. Known for her patience and persistence, Kate takes the time to do the digging required into local laws and property history. She knows land use matters rarely have off-the-shelf solutions, and she excels at the detailed research necessary to pave the client’s path forward.
In addition to her persistence and skill as a researcher, Kate also has a gift simply for building relationships—with attorneys on the other side of a deal, with local officials in land use matters, and most of all, with firm clients. She has worked directly with clients from the very beginning of her legal career and has a remarkable ability to get right to the heart of client goals. Kate’s priority is to understand exactly what clients need and want, and she asks exactly the right questions.
